In accordance with the 2025 Shasta Public Participation and Title VI Plan, please be advised that SRTA’s draft Shasta 2027 Federal Transportation Improvement Program (FTIP) is available from Friday, August 21, 2026, through Sunday, September 20, 2026, at 5:00PM, for public review and comment.

California Transportation Commission Approves Allocation of $124 Million for the Fix 5 Cascade Gateway Project in Shasta County Region
The California Transportation Commission has approved $124 million for construction of the Fix 5 Cascade Gateway project, which will improve safety, traffic operations, freight movement, and emergency response along Interstate 5 through the Redding area. Construction is expected to begin in spring 2027 and be completed in 2029.
