The Shasta NextGen Railroad Crossing Plan added new details to its Request for Proposals on November 3, 2026. This update helps those who want to submit a proposal. Now, proposers must include Exhibit 9-L with their submission. This does not count toward the page limit. The criteria for judging proposals have changed. Now, the judging will look at how well the proposal covers the project's goals, the qualifications of the consulting firm and team, the cost and value of services, new ideas, the ability to make high-quality drawings and designs, and the consultant's ability to reach out. Each part is scored out of 100 points. The total score decides how the proposal is judged. This update makes sure all proposals are judged fairly and consistently based on the latest criteria.
