7 10 LCTOP Funds to RABA

The Shasta Regional Transportation Agency (SRTA) board is looking at a plan to give $497,157 to the Redding Area Bus Authority (RABA) for the 2025/26 fiscal year. RABA wants these funds for free and reduced-fare rides and more microtransit services. These projects aim to cut greenhouse gas emissions and improve mobility, matching SRTA's LCTOP policy. Staff checked the projects and say they should be approved, as they follow the program rules. The RABA board reviewed the applications on September 21, 2026, and plans to send them to Caltrans by October 30, 2026, if the board agrees. The board is also thinking about adopting Resolution 26-09. This would let the executive director manage these funds. The proposal suggests using regional LCTOP funds well, cutting down on admin tasks and using more funds for regional transit needs.
