The Shasta Regional Transportation Agency (SRTA) is required to prepare a Federal Transportation Improvement Program (FTIP) every two years. This program outlines a four-year plan for transportation projects with federal funding or regional significance. The draft Shasta 2027 FTIP was presented to the SRTA Board of Directors in June 2026 and has since been updated with new project information, an updated transportation performance management section, financial summaries, and minor edits. The draft was available for public and partner agency review from August 21, 2026, to September 20, 2026. SRTA staff recommends the board hold a public hearing, approve the Shasta 2027 FTIP, and authorize the executive director to make revisions based on feedback from approving agencies. The FTIP programs $457.5 million over four years, including $2.2 million in local funds, $415 million in state funds, and $38.5 million in federal funds. The board must approve the FTIP for projects to receive federal transportation funding.
