5c Presentation Allotrope TCC Grant

The Shasta Regional Transportation Agency (SRTA) is looking at a proposal from Allotrope and others about a possible grant. The Transformative Climate Communities (TCC) grant could pay for a study to improve industrial land in Shasta County. The study would focus on upgrading the wastewater plant, growing clean industries, and adding natural gas fueling stations. The project would be in Community Service Area 17 in Cottonwood and nearby. It aims to help the timber and heavy-duty vehicle industries. Allotrope wants SRTA to join as a co-applicant or technical advisor for the transportation parts. The board is asked to let the executive director sign SRTA up as a co-applicant or technical advisor. The TCC program offers up to $5 million for project grants. This could pay for SRTA staff to work on the project. Applications are due September 30, 2026.
