SRTA submitted a grant application for the North State Express Connect: Redding to Sacramento (NS Express Connect for short) on April 5, 2016, in the amount of $19,520,470. The grant application proposes to develop a new intercity transit express route that will form the backbone of an integrated rural transit network between Redding and Sacramento with feeder routes linking the counties of Modoc, Siskiyou, Humboldt, Lassen, Butte, Trinity, Tehama, Glenn, Lake and Colusa.
