GIS is a spatial analysis tool used for project development, public involvement and planning.
The regional Geographic Information Systems (GIS) platform is now live! Check out the platform on the FarNorCalGIS website.
The SRTA, Shasta College and Far North Regional GIS Council partnered together to fund and develop a coordinated regional GIS platform that is intended to provide access to interactive maps and data for citizens and decision-makers in California's 16 county Far North Region.
In addition to providing useful and easy-to-use maps, FarNorCalGIS supports improved data consistency, coordination, and exchange among data providers. FarNorCalGIS also provides information on news, events, education, jobs and links related to the growing field of geographic information systems (GIS). FarNorCalGIS is a project of the Far North Regional GIS Council, with funding and resource support from Shasta College and SRTA. Shasta College hosts the regional GIS server.
